Recipe of the Month

This is the time of year where gardens are flourishing and many may have too many cucumbers 🥒

Here is a quick recipe to enjoy your homegrown produce.

Donna's Homegrown

Dill Pickles

Place in a sterilized canning jar:

Fresh dill weed
2 or 3 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp of mustard seed
Slice cucumber into spears and place into the jar.

Bring to a boil for the brine:

2 cups vinegar
3 cups water
6 tablespoons of canning salt

Using a funnel, carefully pour the brine into the jars, and tighten cap. Tip upside down on the counter until cool, then place in the fridge.

This will make about 3 large jars.
